BEAUVAL ZOO and DISCOVERIES
Nature, Historical heritage and Local products
On the natural side, the gardens of Chaumont will take you to new worlds each year with paintings designed by landscape artists from all over the world. The domain of Chambord with its observatories will allow you to discover wild boars and deer and in the autumn to listen to the slab of the deer at dusk. To be able to observe less local species 15 minutes from our lodgings, you can go to the Beauval zoo park where more than 35,000 animals await you.
In the Cher valley, you will enjoy an exceptional Renaissance heritage with Chambord, Blois, Amboise, Le clos Lucé, Chaumont and Chenonceaux (25 to 40 minutes) and to go back in time you can admire the royal city of Loches (30 ‘), the keep of Montrichard (20′) or the Gallo Roman site of Thésée la Romaine (10’).
Fans of comics and Tintin can discover the Château de Cheverny which inspired Hergé.
After all these activities, a moment of gourmet pleasure will be welcome and the many local restaurants where our artisan bakers, butchers, market gardeners and winegrowers will be happy to welcome you to help you discover our specialties.
Surrounded by wine farms and goat farms, you can also enjoy the comfort of your cottage with the pleasure of a good cheese and a well-chosen glass of wine.
The cooperative cellars of St Romain, Oisly and the winegrowers who surround us will be happy to share their passion with you and introduce you to some gustatory nuggets.
